Between the Sun and the Moon

  • Pacific Northwest Art School 15 NW Birch Street Coupeville WA 98239 USA (map)

Would you like to make a book that represents what is sacred in your life?

Join me on the entrancing Whidbey Island at Pacific Northwest Art School for this magical workshop where we will joyfully make a handcrafted book dedicated to your own days "Between the Sun and the Moon."

On your artist book pages you will create collaged mandalas representing what is sacred in your life, landscapes from your soul, and paper tapestries inspired by the seasons.

We will use gesso, plaster and different mediums and glazes to make our pages tactile and mysterious. We will collage with fabric, paper, and images, then we will add hand-stitching and wiring for beautiful details and effects.

Together we will explore the symbolism and legends of the sun and the moon, the callings of the north and the south, and the offerings of day and night and where they can fit in our art.

And as each day unfolds, "between the sun and the moon,"  you will be inspired, nurtured and enriched... and discover the essence of your own creativity.
